The Triskele is an abstract image of the Asphodel, a flower that grows in all parts of Latium and is known for its powerful healing qualities.

The wild plant, a metaphor for rebirth, was part of the wall decorations that adorned Etruscan tombs. Stylized spiral figures sometimes represented the flower.
