Alexander Piangiamore<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Alessandro Piangiamore was born in Rome on July 11, 1976. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Via di Ripetta, where he graduated in Painting in 2001. His early work centered precisely on painting, but he soon began to experiment with wood, metal, and resin. He blends different materials and techniques, developing a unique style and resulting in works that explore themes such as memory, time, and the relationship between the individual and the environment. His creations often incorporate found objects, such as furniture or other discarded materials, which Piangiamore transforms and combines with other elements to create new, intriguing compositions. One of his most important series is “Traces”: begun in 2009, it consists of sculptures made of wood and other materials, which are then burned and charred to create intricate surfaces that evoke the passage of time and the impermanence of human existence.
Piangiamore has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and around the world. He has participated in international art fairs, such as Art Basel, Frieze, and Artissima, and his works have become part of the collections of several museums and institutions, including the MAXXI Museum in Rome, the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Guarene, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Turin. Today he continues to explore new materials and techniques, creating pieces that challenge our perceptions and invite us to reflect on the complexity of the world around us.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In the setting of the Knights of Rhodes House, 150 guests gathered for the preview of the art-editorial project “Flowers of Paper” conceived by Mario Valerio Nocenzi. The protagonist of the initiative is artist Alessandro Piangiamore and his works from the “leri Ikebana” series, which came into contact with sophisticated printing techniques: illusion, lightness and matter. Sunset over the ancient heart of Rome, scenic dinner, and a master calligrapher showing off his skills by etching the names of guests on fine paper with nibs and inks.
